Pesek, 2017 – Football field on the border between Slovenia and Italy.
Italian football is recognized as a world icon, and in these areas it has particular features, especially during the Yugoslav period. The territory is divided between the Italian championship and the Federal Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia. Despite the propaganda and spirit that animates Yugoslavia’s teams, there is no story. While playing memorable matches between Partizan and Red Star clubs, most audiences try to tune simultaneously on the Italian radio: Inter, Juventus, Milan and Triestina are playing.

What is beyond the curtain is a Western mirage, tempting and appealing.
